Matt will give an overview of Frontier, the Department of Energy’s exascale supercomputer, and will tell the inside story of its construction and science mission.

Matt holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has decades of experience working on projects such as electron-stimulated chemistry, copper interconnect process technology, statistical modeling of computational hardware, and IP licensing & export control. Matt joined ORNL in 2009 and moved to OLCF in 2018. He is now leading the effort to procure the successor to Frontier.
